How do I mount the sliding doors?

As you can see in the installation videos for Module 16 and Vario 19, they are installed on a bottom rail and a top rail. Depending on your project plan, the top rail may be mounted on your ceiling, or on the inside of a top plate of your wardrobe, and the bottom rail usually on the floor.

What is the ideal positioning for my wardrobe in the room?

It's your preference when which positioning – you know what suits the room the best. But accessible walkways and free space are the main priorities, along with a wall for support. The project plan will consider this. If you need help with a new strategy for the installation, please get in touch with your Kvik store.

Do I have to use the specified electrical tools?

No - but sometimes precise results require specific tools. For instance, a thin-bladed handsaw can cut a round hole if you have the skills - but the drill saw is our recommendation because of precision.

Why is the handle template not included?

The template for mounting handles on doors and drawers can be bought at your local Kvik store. It is an optional accessory for DIY, because some DIY'ers prefer alternative handles, but most prefer integrated handles.

Is it too late to have Kvik install my wardrobe?

Before you start your DIY:

Get to grips with the supporting wall

Make sure you know what material the wall is made of and the optimal type screw for that material.

What role does floor play?

Your wardrobe will be resting on the floor, which will need to be level to make a solid foundation. You need to consider the final floor surface: will it be carpet, tile or hardwood? How will it meet the wardrobe? Will the floor get a new finish after the wardrobe, or is it already standing on it?

And, similarly, the ceiling

If you install sliding doors, will they go right up to the ceiling? If so, do you have the correct measurements and possibly tools for that precision?
