Jonathan Degrève — Kvik Gosselies, Wavre & Namur-Erpent

I wanted to be my own boss.
Jonathan Degrève
Owner, Kvik Gosselies, Wavre and Namur-Erpent

Jonathan Degrève didn’t invent anything when he became a franchisee —he just needed to own something that mattered. Fast-forward: three Kvik showrooms in Wallonia bearing his name.

In September 2010, he launched Kvik Gosselies — the very first Kvik showroom in the French-speaking region. A bold pioneer move. Fifteen years and close to 5,000 kitchens installed later, his drive to offer accessible Danish design at a fair price remains undimmed.

In June 2018, Jonathan extended his ambition — taking over the existing Kvik Wavre store from another franchisee. It was a different kind of challenge: not building a business from scratch but inheriting an existing team and clientele.

More recently, he added the Kvik Namur - Erpent location to his portfolio, again stepping into an established store. That mix — of building first then acquiring existing operations — is what makes Jonathan’s story stand out within the Kvik family. As is the central warehouse and workshop serving all three stores that he built.

From sales to ownership

Jonathan’s background in sales sharpened his commercial instincts, but he craved ownership. “I hadn’t invented anything myself,” he says, “so I needed a franchise to have something of my own.” Kvik gave him the structure, brand, and design credentials to make that possible.

Moving from one store to three didn’t just require financial appetite, but trust from the corporate network and proof of performance. Jonathan’s success at Gosselies — marked by growth and customer satisfaction—paved the way to Wavre and Namur-Erpent. Leveraging Kvik’s online and local visibility, he expanded carefully and methodically. He even built a central warehouse and workshop that serves all three stores, streamlining his operations and enabling him to scale his business.

Community and teamwork at the core

Jonathan treats each showroom as a second family. Staff continuity —especially when acquiring new locations — helps maintain culture and service quality. He engages locally, supports B2B clients, and ensures each store delivers consistent, approachable Danish design at accessible prices. As he says, “Everyone deserves a beautiful kitchen.”

What truly sets him apart: Jonathan has navigated both ends of the franchise spectrum. Launching Gosselies taught him the rigors and creativity of building a brand from scratch; taking over Wavre and Erpent sharpened his ability to lead transitions, preserve client trust, and integrate existing teams.

Vision for the future

With three showrooms and a large central warehouse and workshop under his leadership, Jonathan isn’t rushing expansion — he’s building resilience. His approach blends dedication, operational rigor, and thoughtful local engagement. Behind the scenes, his goal remains simple: maintain excellence in service and expand when it makes sense — without compromising on Kvik values or price accessibility.

Jonathan Degrève’s journey embodies what Kvik franchise ownership can look like at its most strategic: a founder’s passion driven by sales, expanded through careful acquisitions, and kept honest by customer-centric consistency. From launching the very first showroom in French-speaking Belgium to guiding three thriving locations, he’s not just selling kitchens — he’s shaping a regional footprint rooted in thoughtful growth.
